No, its not not some African term!


No, its not some expletives of some mundane culture!


And no...certainely no to whatever thing u may be thinking it is!!!


Well...lemme tell you how the word came into being!


Yes there is a story behind this one too...


On a bright beautiful morning when my sons and i were playing outside in the porch...Bittu, (the younger of the two) came running in full speed and shouting on top of his voice,"POOKAT, POOKAT!"


It took me some time to figure out what it meant and he kept pointing to a direction and kept repeating the word...then i saw what he was referring to....it was a Pussy Cat!

LOL....I had a good laugh!


I wanted to title this blog as the joy of motherhood...but decided the present one was a better one.


Kids have their own way explaining things through actions or words that they create! It always amused me as to how kids try to imitate the phonetic sounds made by people around them.


The greatest test of being a mother is trying 2 understand what the kid wants and to decipher their words... I have comipled a list of words my kids use daily. It was real fun trying to remember all these funny words. (Oh boy! the time it took me to decipher these simple words initially)
