Hi...Rose tagged with meme of five.]

“The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged. Young moms

I was browsing the net and I came across this piece of news...I don't know what to call it...but you decide on your own

Well...I guess this is going to be the next in thing...(sarcastically speaking)

17 girls at Gloucester High School are expecting babies. None of them older than 16, confessed to making a pact to get pregnant and raise their babies together. The story got worse. "We found out one of the fathers is a 24-year-old homeless guy," the principal says, shaking his head. School officials started looking into the matter after an unusual number of girls began filing into the school clinic to find out if they were pregnant. Several students had returned multiple times to get pregnancy tests, and on hearing the results, some girls seemed more upset when they weren't pregnant than when they were. Amanda Ireland, who graduated from Gloucester High, thinks she knows why these girls wanted to get pregnant. Ireland, 18, gave birth her freshman year and says some of her now pregnant schoolmates regularly approached her in the hall, remarking how lucky she was to have a baby. "They're so excited to finally have someone to love them unconditionally," Ireland says.

Further details of the news can be read here.

I just dont know what to say...these young girls have a very wrong notion about kids...kids always require constant attention...feeding them at regular three hour intervals...caring for them, changing diapers...they would exhaust all your energies. After you decide to just sleep after a tough day, the kids choose that particular time to cry and be fed or even for attention.

These girls are so young, I remember when I was 17 I had huge dreams of making it big and kids were a distant dream.I was having fun in school.I wanted to join college...I never even thought about having my own babies at that point of time. I loved babies...others babies...I liked to baby sit them...

I just don't understand the part where they said that kids will love them unconditionally...Kids will always be kids you cant expect that from anyone...if they loved their parents unconditionally all this would have never have happened...it just highlights the fact these girls are from homes where they are not given enough love. Or they think they are not loved. Or never have been ever loved.

To think the young innocence of the girls is going to be toughened by a drastic change of this sort is very sad.

A memory

Well... I decided that I am going to jot down a memory from my life every monday!

Mondays are for memories of the week end that has passed!(:P)

Its just that I just didnt want to forget those beautiful memories I have! Later in life reminiscing these will keep me happy too!

So my memory for this monday is:

I remember the white chiffon frock that I had when I was 5...It had a beautiful red satin ribbon which ran around the waist and whoose ends could be used to lie a bow at the back.

I specifically loved white long gowns after I saw Princess Diana's wedding! I so badly wanted to be dressed in a gown as beautiful as that for my wedding!

So I had numerous gowns when I was small! A memory of another gown next monday!

Friday Fill In#17

Very late again..but I have cited the reasons here.
:P

1. A smile is free, and it requires less energy to conjure one.

2. Monopoly is my favorite board or card game.

3. I would love to have more laughter in my life and less stress.

4. When I think of the Summer Solstice, I think of how they taught me about it in school.

5. I just remembered I need to put my clothes for washing.

6. One of my favorite song lyrics goes like this:
I still hear your voice when you sleep next to me
I still feel your touch in my dreams
Forgive me my weakness but I don´t know why
Without you it´s hard to survive...(Cascada, Everytime you touch)

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to chill out, tomorrow my plans include searching for a shoe rack and chest of drawers and Sunday, I want to iron my son's school uniforms!

Happy Birthday to Janet!

Thursday Thirteen #10

My son started school recently. On the 11 th of June precisely...
I wanted to blog about that day but I kept keeping the post for another day! And sincde today is Thursday its Thursday 13 time...(sheepish smile) So i decided to list 13 reasons why I couldn't blog regularly( sheepish smile) :P

Being an expert at giving any sort of excuse at the drop of the hat I didnt take much time for this (another sheepish smile)

Thirteen Things about Why I couldn't blog regularly

1.... My son started school and I had to be in school for two weeks...just to make sure he has adjusted in school

2.... Because of the strain of sitting continuously for a long time I was down with severe back ache and I was advised to lie on my back for a week

3....My computer just wouldnt work properly

4....The network connection crashed frequently owing to the rains

5....My husband wanted to use the computer whenever I wanted it

6....My brother sat in front of the computer since morning leaving it only when my husband came home

7....My laptop detected a virus...so

8....I had to clean up the desk as it was piled woth news paper articles which I needed to sort out

9....My ophthalmologist suggested to take rest from the computer for a week

10....I was really busy with lying down and catching up sleep

11....I was so tensed with what was happening to me that I didnt have time to think about teh blog.

12....I was frustrated as I couldn't find the previous TT's saved in my computer

13....I had a bit of writer's block syndrome

Hmmm...that is a pretty neat list of reasons....Well I actually had some more but they were too good to be put up here and mostly my husband would easily recognize them as reasons of escapism! I quote those reasons when I am really in a fix!
